Britain's King Charles and Queen Camilla will attend a service today in the Anglican Church “St. Thomas“ and will meet with residents of Sydney on the first day of their official tour in Australia, which is part of the Commonwealth of Nations (British Commonwealth), reports Reuters, quoted by BTA.
The royal couple will be welcomed by the Archbishop of Sydney, Kanishka Raphael, and Sunday school children to the church.
After the service, the Australian public will have the first opportunity to meet Charles and Camilla since they arrived in Sydney on Friday evening.
This is King Charles' first major trip since he was diagnosed with cancer.
On Saturday, Australia appointed Charles, 75, as an honorary admiral of the navy, field marshal of the army and marshal of the air force ahead of a fleet review in Sydney harbor next week.
