South Korea threatens again: If Kim sends special forces to war, we will respond with weapons for the Ukrainian army - 1

Seoul may consider sending weapons to Ukraine depending on the degree of military cooperation between North Korea and Russia, South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol said.

"If North Korea sends special forces to the war in Ukraine, we will provide support to Ukraine step by step and consider taking the necessary measures for the security of the Korean Peninsula," he stressed at a joint press conference with Polish President Andrzej Duda in Seoul.

"We have adhered to the principle of not directly delivering lethal weapons, but we can review this more flexibly depending on North Korea's military activities," he added.

Earlier today, Russia ratified the Moscow-Pyongyang Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty, which allows the two countries to provide each other with "military assistance" in case of imminent threat.
