The Embassy of Bulgaria in Skopje has received a report from a man with Macedonian and Bulgarian citizenship who claims that police officers exceeded their rights when detaining after a domestic scandal. This was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reports Nova.
The case was announced by the “Macedonia“ Foundation. in social networks. In a publication of the organization, it is stated that Borce Nacevski, who has dual citizenship, got into an argument with a neighbor about his origin.
Police arrived at the scene and took Nacevsky away. The man was locked in a cell and was released a few hours later, beaten and without charges, according to the “Macedonia“ Foundation.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it was in contact with the man. “The embassy is monitoring the development of the case and has taken the necessary actions to clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident,”, added the MFA.
