German authorities have frozen Russian assets worth around €3.5 billion as part of the EU sanctions regime, a representative of the German Finance Ministry told TASS.
These include frozen funds and economic resources of individuals or organizations included in the list, as well as foreign assets of the Central Bank of Russia located in countries that are subject to a transaction ban.
At the end of December 2023, a representative of the German Finance Ministry reported that the country's authorities had frozen Russian assets worth around €4.1 billion as of the beginning of the same month under the EU sanctions regime.
