Today, a day of mourning has been declared in the Ukrainian city of Zaporozhye in memory of the 13 citizens killed in yesterday's Russian attack. This was announced by the chairman of the Zaporozhye regional military administration Ivan Fyodorov via the "Telegram" application, BTA reports.
According to Fyodorov, the number of injured is now 113. Of these, 59 people are hospitalized, with about a dozen in serious condition. Among the injured is a 13-year-old child.
The search and rescue operation ended at night, the regional governor specified. Work continues in the city to eliminate the consequences of the attack. So far, 160 reports have been received from citizens about damage to property, 56 of which are about destroyed residential buildings and infrastructure facilities.
Zaporozhye region is home to about 30,000 people from the Bulgarian community. Their compact settlement is concentrated in the Primorsky, Melitopolsky, Berdyansky and Priazovsky districts, which are currently under Russian occupation.
