The cameraman and driver of the film crew of the "Zvezda" TV channel, Andrey Panov and Alexander Sirkeli, were killed as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian armed forces in the so-called LPR, along with the correspondent of "Izvestia" Alexander Fedorchak.

The correspondent of "Zvezda" TV channel was seriously injured Nikita Goldin.

TASS correspondent Mikhail Skuratov was injured by shrapnel in the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region.

A total of six people died in an artillery strike near Luhansk, including three journalists, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA, citing the head of the Luhansk region appointed by Russia.

The media outlets for which the journalists worked confirmed that they were killed in the attack.

Ukrainian authorities have not yet commented on this information.

Russian news agencies are citing sources in the security forces, according to whom the strike that killed the journalists was carried out with a HIMARS multiple launch rocket system.

Almost the entire Luhansk region is under the control of Russian forces, Reuters notes.

The Russian Permanent Mission to the UN earlier said that he would raise the issue of the deaths of Russian journalists as a result of attacks by Ukrainian armed forces at the next meeting of the UN Security Council.

Meanwhile, it became clear that the Council will hold a meeting on Ukrainian issues on March 26. This was reported by the permanent mission of Denmark to the UN, which acts as the president of the Security Council in March.

Earlier, the Security Council meeting appeared on the body's schedule. "I confirm that the UN Security Council meeting has been scheduled for March 26. It was requested by a number of members of the Security Council with the support of others," the Danish diplomatic mission said.
