Lymphoma is an oncological disease of the lymphatic tissues, characterized by an increase in the lymph nodes in which it takes place uncontrolled accumulation of tumor lymphocytes.
One of the first symptoms of lymphoma is a significant increase in lymph nodes in the neck area, under the arms or in the groin.
Other characteristic symptoms are night sweats and especially around the neck; elevated temperature up to 37.4°C of unknown origin; unexplained weight loss and fatigue; cough or shortness of breath, etc.
Most initial symptoms of lymphoma can be confused with those of other diseases, especially common infections. The diagnosis is made after a blood test by a specialist hematologist.
