ERM West continues to remove unused communication cables from poles in Western Bulgaria

Removing non-working cable operator networks improves the urban environment, increases the quality of power supply and reduces the risk of accidents

ERM West, in cooperation with cable operators and local authorities, continues to remove unused and unnecessary communication cables from the overhead network in Western Bulgaria. With the measures taken, the company improves the urban environment, increases the quality of power supply, reduces the risk of accidents and increases safety for citizens and their properties.

In the capital, the cleaning started from the Pancharevo district on „Samokovsko shose“ Str. and around the 83rd primary school „Elin Pelin“. In Knyazhevo, unused cables were removed from the network from the „Sred selo“ square on „Knyazhevska“ Str. and ul. „Mile Popyordanov“. From 29.07.2025, activities have also started on the pole network of the main streets in the Boyana district. The removal of unnecessary cables from the networks and on the main streets of the Dragalevtsi district is imminent. The specific sites have been determined at meetings with representatives of the Pancharevo and Vitosha districts.

ERM West launches its program for cleaning the pole network in Western Bulgaria from broken, hanging and unusable cables for internet and television in 2024 in cooperation with the municipal authorities and with representatives of operators who use the company's infrastructure for laying their own cables. So far, the networks in the town of Bregovo and the Rakovitsa district of the town of Berkovitsa have been cleaned.

In addition to Sofia, the program continues in the cities of Razlog, Montana and Vidin. The removal of non-working networks of cable and internet operators is also underway in the territory of the city of Pleven and the city of Lukovit.
