"The goal of the action is for Peevski and Borisov to understand that the state is not the father's, that they cannot be above everyone else and wherever they go, they should be escorted by NSO cars with 3-4 security guards in them, who are paid for by Bulgarian citizens". This was stated to the Bulgarian National Radio by the MP from "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" Lena Borislavova.
She pointed out that since 5:40 in the morning they have been at the entrances to the National Assembly parking lot and will remain there until the end of the vote of no confidence.
"I do not expect today's vote to be successful - it will not be successful in overthrowing the government, but it will be successful in raising the conversation about what this government is doing, the conversation about justice, who can dispose of state cars, property, security with impunity, just so as not to meet the love of the people, while two other completely innocent citizens are in custody, without the right to a fair trial. /.../ Any citizen can be in the place of our two political prisoners, if it is not beneficial to those in power", commented Borislavova in an interview for the program "Predi visi".
She will also go to the courtroom when the measure of detention of the deputy mayor of Sofia Nikola Barbutov is being considered. "He, in an identical way to the Varna mayor, has been left in custody, without reason and in violation of the law and his rights as a citizen, without even an indictment being filed in court", pointed out the MP from the PP-DB.
"We are trying to show people what is happening in our country. People have many problems. Unfortunately, the solution to many of them is related to having working state institutions, not their complete control", commented Borislavova.
