Mitov: The opposition uses hybrid attacks to misinform and manipulate society

All police officers are protecting public order and do not allow vandalism like those in front of the EC building in Sofia

Today's exercise aims to coordinate the security of our sea border, which also includes the detention of ships carrying drugs. At the moment, I can give an excellent assessment in terms of the detention of drugs, and here I must also note the good coordination with our Turkish colleagues.

This was stated by the Minister of Interior Daniel Mitov, who, together with Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov, is in Sozopol and is attending an exercise of the General Directorate of the “Border Police“.

"First of all, condolences to the relatives of the colleague who died yesterday. There is no way that the police officers are not overworked, but I do not believe and do not rely on the opposition's stories. We also saw in the debates on the vote of no confidence that they are only trying to exaggerate and manipulate. The fact is that the police are overworked, but they are all doing their job and I have not heard anyone complaining. All police officers maintain public order and do not allow vandalism like the ones in front of the EC building in Sofia. The opposition failed to control the Ministry of Interior, as was revealed in their recordings, and this is the reason for attacking the Ministry of Interior. The opposition releases disinformation and then copies this disinformation to the Ministry of Interior, thus destabilizing trust in the institutions. These are hybrid attacks with which the opposition is misleading the public. This of course also helps Russian hybrid attacks," commented Minister Mitov on the past fifth vote of no confidence.
