The leader of "Velichy" Ivelin Mihaylov is the unidentified MP with immunity in the "Historical Park" case.
This was stated by lawyer Yuliana Mateeva, who, in addition to defending one of the accused, is also the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly.
The Sofia City Court remanded in custody all seven individuals detained for corruption, money laundering and property fraud following the Anti-Corruption Commission's action.
During the preventive measure, the court pointed out that there was evidence of "huge cash flows".
The prosecutor's office explained that the group had a well-organized organization and a high level of conspiracy.
The services detected a money transfer to the account of one of the accused in the amount of 21 million leva.
According to investigators, through the scheme surrounding "Historical Park" Millions of leva were brought in and taken out by hand.
Precise methods were used to convince victims to invest, with some of the accused arranging easy and quick access to loans.
Many victims were involved, the prosecutor's office also said.
"We are talking about over 50 million leva over a period of about 10 years", said Ahmed Kokoev, a prosecutor at the State Police Prosecutor's Office.
One of the lawyers mentioned Ivelin Mihaylov, will he be brought in as a defendant?
"I can't tell you", Kokoev replied.
"A person with immunity is involved in the alleged organized crime group. However, his identity is unknown, which makes the process political, absolutely analogous to what happened to Blagomir Kotsev. It is clear that the person with immunity is Ivelin Mihaylov," said lawyer Yuliana Mateeva from the Velichie Party:
According to her, "the involvement of anyone has not been clarified."
"I comment on the case as a political accusation, we received clear evidence that it is directed at the Velichie Party," Mateeva said.
