We are witnessing an absurd situation that surprised even GERB. At the presidential council in the morning, it became clear that GERB and the BSP would support this proposal, no one else declared support. The MRF had an evasive response, because it is absurd, after all, to vote on the budget of the government that has resigned. What happened in the National Assembly surprised its sponsors and this is the reason for this long break. The situation is, to put it mildly, absurd, the government resigned because of the budget, the second budget is a pared-down version of the first. It is almost indistinguishable. In terms of debt, the difference is less than 1 billion leva. Today it turns out that the first point is accepted as the same budget that caused the fall of the government. We have no way of supporting it. This was stated to journalists on the sidelines of the National Assembly by the leader of Vazrazhdane Kostadin Kostadinov.
"We believe that there should be a budget, but it should be a new one. We will not support the extended version of this, the current one. The Chairman of the Fiscal Council Simeon Dyankov stated that the budget was built on the basis of false data. The best solution is a new budget without any debts. Because for these 19 billion we will pay dearly. Interest on the debts is increasing, Bulgaria will enter a debt spiral. We believe that there should be cuts and layoffs in the state administration. There are huge buffers for theft left in the budget. The government must have the courage to come out and admit the truth. They will not back down. We will go to protests. Our goal will be - for this budget to not be adopted. We are waiting for an election campaign and a new government. Let a new National Assembly decide on this, the current exhausted parliament has no legitimacy to do this, the leader of Vazrazhdane said.
