Gabriel Valkov, BSP: Our supporters want us to go hand in hand with Rumen Radev

We are sure that he will enter the next National Assembly. Our supporters tell us that if the party leadership changes, they will vote for the BSP

At 12 to 5, you cannot radically change the Electoral Code and expect confidence in the elections. We are not against the system with the scanning devices – it must be tested, checked, shown on television. I have distrust of how things are happening – on the knee, at the last minute. This was commented by the MP from the BSP-OL Gabriel Valkov.

„That is why Maya Dimitrova proposed postponing the scanners and introducing them from January 1, 2027. After the proposal was rejected, we decided not to register in the hall so that there would be no quorum. It won't happen this way and we will continue not to register," he told bTV.

The coalition wants people to have the right to choose: "There are elderly people who are worried about the machines, there are young people who only want machines. That's why it's fair to have both paper and machines."

“In order to restore trust in the machines - because they have become printers, we want to have better protection. On the one hand, people count the pieces, and on the other - the machine prints a protocol. GERB, DPS and ITN are going towards the machine," Valkov believes.

The MP sees Rumen Radev as a potential partner in the next parliament: "We are sure that he will enter the next National Assembly. Our sympathizers tell us that if the party leadership changes, they will vote for the BSP. They want the party to go hand in hand with Rumen Radev.“

According to him, the big problem was the support of the MRF – A new beginning for the ruling majority in place of the APS.

„The problem is that Atanas Zafirov did not resign with us“, Valkov also pointed out.

He has nominations for the chairman of the BSP and accepts them.

„The BSP cannot enter a government with GERB and the MRF anymore“, Gabriel Valkov is categorical.
