The chairman of "Vazrazhdane" Kostadin Kostadinov stated on bTV that, in his opinion, there is evidence of an institutional cover-up surrounding the "Petrohan" case and insisted on political responsibility.

Regarding the materials sent to the National Assembly on the case, Kostadinov specified that he had not personally familiarized himself with them, since he was not present in parliament, but deputies from his party had already begun to read them.

„There were no SANS agents. At the same time, I believe, in my personal opinion, that an umbrella has been established over this criminal pedophile sect, because we see that there are too many coincidences“, said Kostadinov.

According to him, during a hearing in parliament, he asked a specific question to the representatives of the Ministry of Interior whether there was any information about current or former politicians being present on the territory of the hut.

“I asked them to give me one of three possible answers - yes, there is, no, there is not, or we are investigating and cannot answer at the moment. They answered me: we are investigating, we cannot answer at the moment. For me, this means that there is“, the leader of “Vazrazhdane“ specified.

Kostadinov commented on the confessions of Sofia Mayor Vasil Terziev and former Minister of Ecology Borislav Sandov that they had visited the former “Petrohan“ hut.

“First Sandov came out and admitted that he had been there, not once, not twice, but three times. Then, a few hours later, Vasil Terziev came out and admitted, who even went further by saying that he had given money. And notice - he doesn't even know exactly how much he gave. Between 70 and 80 thousand euros, said the leader of “Vazrazhdane“.

According to him, the non-governmental organization has not declared what it spent the funds donated by Terziev on and it is not known what exactly they went for.

Kostadinov insisted that the mayor resign: “Vasil Terziev must resign. You cannot give 70-80 thousand euros to a criminal pedophile sect and say: “I made a mistake”. When there is a mistake, there must be consequences.“

Kostadinov drew a parallel with the revelations surrounding the sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

„I believe that this case is related to the „Epstein“ files, because there is a striking coincidence between the incident in Petrokhan, which took place literally five days after the files were released. This is my opinion. I have no evidence for this, but I think as a free man“, explained the leader of „Vazrazhdane“.

Kostadinov also stated that his party had received information about „an absolutely similar situation“ in the Rhodope Mountains.

„State territory, given away for nothing. Then the place was fenced off. Some very strange practices are being carried out. Local people filed reports with the police – no response, no action“, he said.

If the information is confirmed, “Vazrazhdane“ will file an official report, added Kostadinov.

The party leader also commented on the proposal for a public register of people convicted of pedophilia: “We are talking about a convicted person. Criminals do not have the same rights as free citizens“.

The interview also touched on the topic of changes to the Electoral Code, which limit the number of polling stations abroad – in countries outside the European Union.

According to Kostadinov, the changes will limit the number of voters only in Turkey. He defended the idea of these restrictions on the grounds that the electoral process is being manipulated in Turkey and we are talking about people who “have no connection with Bulgaria“.
