At the heart of everything is his material interest, he also said

At the heart of the case of “Petrohan – Okolchitsa” is Ivaylo Kalushev - smart, intelligent, but also cunning and manipulative. While he was in Mexico, he had the opportunity to fall into circles that are of interest to the Bulgarian services. Things probably started right here. At some point, this person became operationally interesting, after which his relationship with the services, and in particular with the National Security Agency, deepened. Kalushev probably began to build a myth about himself and the organization he represents - as a spiritual leader and as a person connected to the services and carrying out state orders based on national security. This was said by the former director of the National Security and Defense Council, Gen. Kiril Radev, on the air of “Offensive with Lyubo Ognyanov” by NOVA NEWS.

According to him, Kalushev's material interest is at the heart of everything. “He had the opportunity to manipulate people who were in an unprepared environment – he collected money, many people were his donors”, commented Radev. He is of the opinion that Kalushev deceived state bodies, ministers, and business representatives. The expert also said that “the money was needed by Kalushev to create these bases that enable him to realize his hidden plan – his sexual drive”.

”For me, the six murders are also murders according to a script”, he also said. According to him, Ivaylo Kalushev killed 22-year-old Nikolai and the 15-year-old boy.

According to the general, the other men deeply believed in the myth of Kalushev as a spiritual leader and directly connected to state security and were “ready to do absolutely anything for him”. In his words, they “fell into the delusion that they were performing something special”.

Regarding the parents of the children who were in Ivaylo Kalushev's group, Radev believes that they are not random, but are part of the man's circle – “they are direct observers of what is happening, without allowing that things could come to this”. According to him, these parents thought their children were in safe hands, they didn't think anything could happen to them.

Radev believes that it won't end up in a courtroom and no one will be held responsible.
