Ivaylo Mirchev: We agreed to Asen Vassilev's conditions, but we could have not shown up for the elections

There should be no division and squabbles, but we should expand our support in order to break the current model of governance. We have proven that we can be a great opposition, but this is not the best for the people

The PP-DB coalition could not have shown up for the elections due to blackmail by "We continue the change" and Assen Vassilev's refusal to sign the lists. This was stated by the co-chairman of "Yes, Bulgaria" Ivaylo Mirchev on Nova TV.

The reason for this is the place of the previous MP Yavor Bozhankov on the lists, he said.

"Bozhankov received nominations from DB, but Assen Vassilev refused to sign the lists. A few hours before the registration deadline, we could not have shown up for the elections," added Ivaylo Mirchev.

He said that the DB agreed to Asen Vassilev's conditions so as not to waste the people's energy from the protests at the end of last year.

"There should be no division and squabbles, but we should expand our support in order to break the current model of governance. We have proven that we can be a great opposition, but this is not the best for the people," explained Mirchev.

Mirchev did not deny the possibility of a coalition with Rumen Radev, but he did not confirm it either.

„We only look to the West, we want a strong Bulgaria in a strong Europe,“ he confirmed. And he proposed organizing a television debate between him, Rumen Radev and Boyko Borisov.

According to Mirchev, the caretaker government is a mix between people who were in the PP and GERB.
