CEC met with PACE representatives on the elections

The Commission reported that there are more registered observers for these elections

The Central Election Commission met with representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) in connection with the preparation and organization of the upcoming parliamentary elections on April 19, 2026. This was announced by the CEC press center.

The Commission presented to international observers the readiness for the elections tomorrow - the ballot papers, paper ballots and machines are already being delivered to the relevant regional administrations and section commissions in the country, as well as to commissions outside the country. The additional activities that the CEC has undertaken to improve the electoral process were also reported on – such as more training materials, more practical methodological guidelines, a mobile application and others to facilitate the work of the section commissions.

More opportunities were created for a more accessible environment and tools for independent voting for people with visual impairments. The members of the CEC presented the initiatives taken to increase accurate and timely information to citizens. For the first time, an interactive election map was created, which helps to improve awareness of the elections. Voting outside the country was discussed in detail in the context of the latest amendments to the Electoral Code.

The Commission reported that there are more registered observers for these elections, which will contribute to more publicity and transparency of the electoral process. The PACE representatives expressed positive impressions and a positive assessment of the work of the CEC and noted the good preparation of the electoral process.
