The capital municipality voted the record 2.6 billion BGN budget, with broad support from 45 municipal councilors from the PP-DB-SS and GERB-SDS groups.
"We continue to have criticisms of the budget proposed by Vasil Terziev, and we will continue to have them throughout the year. This is because it could be defined as a "deficiency budget”, GERB-SDS municipal councilor Anton Hekimyan told Nova TV. And he added: „There is no way we can pull Sofia's handbrake. The work for the citizens must continue”.
According to him, most of the mayor's proposals will not be implemented. “Because of the management weakness of the team that now manages the Metropolitan Municipality”, he stressed.
„The budget lacks some BGN 380 million, which should have been collected additionally – uncollected receivables of the municipality. They are not distributed. This bill plan, which is being adopted today, is ¼ from the work of Vasil Terziev for the next period. He has to make four budgets in the next four years. One of them has already been done, and it 95% repeats the capital program set by Yordanka Fandakova”, Hekimyan categorically stated.
„Everything that was committed by the previous management team will continue to be implemented. There is not a single new kindergarten. This team did not come up with any new project”, said the municipal councilor.
