Expert: Associate professor from the University of Mining and Geology has come with a bus for fireworks

The warehouses containing ammunition are under the same control as the warehouses with fireworks, namely the Office for the Control of General Dangerous Means of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The relevant services are responsible for the military warehouses that are owned by the Bulgarian army, said Krasimir Petrov, reserve colonel and ammunition expert

All questions arise related to the construction of the fireworks warehouse and whether the requirements have been met for safety. It is also located close to a populated place. The question remains as to what are the causes of the explosion. This is what security expert Tihomir Bezlov said in “Your Day” on NovaNews
"Around the sixth warehouse, which did not explode, there is no burning area because of this, and the helicopter will circle over it to flood it with water if necessary,” said Krasimir Petrov, a colonel of the reserve and ordnance expert. He emphasized that the warehouses containing ammunition are under the same control as the warehouses with fireworks, namely the Office for the Control of General Dangerous Means of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. “The relevant services are responsible for the military warehouses that are owned by the Bulgarian Army”, he also said.
Bezlov added that KOS are also related to the safety of warehouses.

Petrov also said: „I have information that things started when an associate professor from the University of Mining and Geology arrived by bus to pick up fireworks because he had to make a zarya. The owner's son has also arrived, who brought the girl, as far as I understand, she doesn't work there. The accident occurred at the moment when the ammunition was prepared for the dice. This takes place in a room that is not a warehouse. I have this information from a friend of mine who logged in with the “desert cat” and body armor and helmet inside the area“.

Bezlov commented that, based on Petrov's information, the safety rules were violated. He added that the cameras should be able to give more information.

Bezlov also said that the warehouse really looks very modern, but the point is that there were a series of explosions, including that there was a warehouse with two tons of TNT. He specified that the investigation will provide answers.

Petrov said: “The investigation has not concluded with a conclusion as to the cause. It can last two years.“
