Another day of fire fighting. The fire that broke out yesterday between the Simitli village of Senokos and Stara Kresna continues to be extinguished, BNT reported.
The fire has entered the forest and is difficult to control. During the night, fire brigade teams were on duty at the site, and since this morning volunteers have been gathering in Senokos to help fight the fire. The fire already burned four houses, no one was injured. This is the most difficult terrain of the Forestry - Simitli and does not allow the entry of chain machinery. Therefore, only air extinguishing will be relied upon. A large part of the teams that are extinguishing the big fire in Strumyani municipality were immediately redirected to the place. An Air Force helicopter also got involved.
At the same time, the fight against the fire near Strumyani, which flared up again yesterday, continues. The strong wind ignited one of the fires near the village of Tsaparevo.
The fire from the bottom moved to the top and transferred the previously made clearings. The other fire in Slavyanka mountain on the border with Greece has covered new territories and the extinguishing continues from the air.
The situation is calm near the village of Elena in Haskovo, where yesterday shooting during a military exercise ignited a large fire.
6 teams of the fire department, 30 military personnel and a water carrier of Haskovo municipality extinguished the fire, which covered about 1000 acres of forest. There is no danger to populated areas.
