The Director of the Executive Agency „ Medical supervision“ Ivanka Dineva claims that she was threatened by the owner of a hospital. She told a journalist that another person from her team was threatened.
The threat is from the owner and manager of a hospital, which has been fined over BGN 90,000. Dineva and her colleague filed a report with the Main Directorate “Fighting Organized Crime” because of the threat.
Dineva told about the report in response to a question about whether inspections are carried out in hospitals and whether there is a possibility that the hospital will remain without a license. She did not name the specific hospital or owner.
It is inadmissible to make threats to the head and team of institutions that control but also support the medical facilities, added Dineva. Nothing would stop us, if someone works in such a way as to harm the health of citizens, to take our measures, added Dineva.
