A request for registration of a new DPS brand was submitted to the Patent Office. The name is "DPS - Movement for Rights and Freedoms" and the logo is like the party's, but with the name written below.
However, there is no more information than that. The application was submitted on July 29, but it does not say by whom.
This is what the "Focus" Agency writes.
Given the upcoming elections, the question of the registration of the lists also arises and whether the submitted application for the registration of a new brand is not precisely related to this.
A patent has been applied for use of the mark for political consulting and services, political fundraising, advertising, badges, apparel, flags, electronic publications and more.
According to the information, the new trademark was released for registration by the circle close to Ahmed Dogan. Interestingly, the applicant is hidden from Patent, which is a rare practice. Our editor's consultation with patent attorneys showed that such a mark can hardly be registered if the law is followed because it imitates two other marks.
Separately keeping this mark does not solve the case with the use of the DPS mark in the elections, this is regulated by the Law on Political Parties.
At first glance, the very attempt to patent the brand seems insignificant, but the way and reason for doing it - can lead to the conclusion that Dogan's DPS admits that it cannot control the party before the upcoming elections.
