Ivan Takov and Stanislav Mladenov with a report on the construction of street fitness in "Obelya"

More than 47,000 people live in the territory of the "Vrabnitsa" district

The Chairman of the BSP - Sofia and the group of the socialists in SOS Ivan Takov and the municipal councilor Stanislav Mladenov prepared and submitted a report regarding the adoption of a decision to secure financial means for the construction of a street fitness on the territory of the metropolitan area "Vrabnitsa". The chosen terrain, on which the sports facilities will be placed, is a neighborhood garden, located in the "Obelya" district. between the National Community Center "Prosveta" and the church. The necessary funds for the construction of the sports facility, according to the bill of quantities prepared for the purpose, amount to BGN 52,785.96 including VAT.

"These funds can be provided from the budget of the Metropolitan Municipality, explained Ivan Takov, who is the deputy chairman of the Standing Committee on Finance and Budget in the SOS. - Encouraging physical activity and a healthy lifestyle of citizens in the capital is our main priority. Unfortunately, the district administration, despite its efforts, is unable to meet the needs of the citizens caused by the growth of construction in the area, which has resulted in an increase in population in recent years. Besides the need for basic infrastructural and communal structures, there is also a need for places where citizens can exercise freely. The construction of street fitness areas is a good and quick solution that the Metropolitan Municipality can offer.

In their report, Ivan Takov and Stanislav Mladenov note that the regional administration in "Vrabnica" has analyzed numerous signals, complaints and requests of citizens and after the analysis has reached a definite conclusion - there is a clear need for new sports grounds.

"On the territory of the region "Vrabnitsa" over 47,000 people live there. Over the past 10 years or more, there has been intensive construction of new residential buildings in the area. For this reason, in individual neighborhoods, we observe a significant increase in the number of citizens. However, the construction of accompanying social and sports infrastructure is lagging behind and there is a need for active actions of the Metropolitan Municipality in this direction", commented Stanislav Mladenov. He added that this report of theirs is part of the fulfillment of the commitments that the municipal councilors of the Local Coalition "BSP for Bulgaria" took on the election campaign last year. "The outermost neighborhoods of Sofia need active concrete actions, not just promises. Therefore, I hope that our report will find support from all political groups in the SOS and that we will make the citizens of the "Obelya" district happy. with a street fitness area as early as next spring", said Stanislav Mladenov.
