The sooner the work of this parliament finishes, the fewer dangers for the legislation and financial stability. Hopefully the caretaker cabinet will be formed as quickly as possible. This was stated at the consultations with President Yordan Tsonev from the MRF.
"A parliament in which there is no definite majority that is responsible for legislation, budget and executive power is, to put it mildly, dangerous. Bad legislation is created, at times harmful and of poor quality. The easiest thing is when no one is responsible, to be populists", he added.
He also responded to the words of Kostadin Kostadinov, who mentioned the chairman of the PG of the MRF during the consultations. "It is ridiculous to discuss this at these consultations, this is not the place for it. Outright untruths are also being spoken. I ask the president not to allow it again, otherwise we will have to enter into an argument. The house book from which caretaker prime ministers are elected has no relation to Peevski, this can be proven", he said.
The head of state initiated the constitutional procedure after all three exploratory mandates were returned unfulfilled. Thus, Radev began talks about which of the possible candidates would become the new caretaker minister. The current Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev stated that if the post was offered to him again, he would accept.
The Speaker of the 50th National Assembly, Raya Nazaryan, has already refused the post on the grounds that a prime minister should not be a prominent political figure.
