Deputy from "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" Asen Vassilev commented the words of the Macedonian Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Alexander Nikoloski, who stated "more miserable than them are only those servants in our country who signed that the Macedonian and Bulgarian people have a common history, which they do not have.
I find the words offensive and disproportionate. Macedonian politicians must understand one thing - if they want to be members of the EU, they must comply with the written agreements, Vassilev was categorical.
"There is a written agreement between the EU, Bulgaria and the RSM that protects Bulgarian interests, to which the Macedonians have agreed. They have to fulfill it if they want to be part of the EU. Any emotional outbursts will not help," he added.
In my opinion, there should be a reaction on the part of Bulgaria that reminds exactly this - there is a written agreement and it must be respected, Vassilev believes.
In his words, Europe must come up with a position. "This is no longer a problem between Bulgaria and Macedonia, but between Macedonia and Europe. Bulgarian interests are also protected by Europe. Macedonians must understand it.
