The deadline for the completion of the Ruse - Byala - Veliko Tarnovo highway is 2029 and there is no reason for it to be changed for now, although there is a delay in the work on the first lot - the Byala bypass.
This was said in Ruse by the Minister of Regional Development Ivan Ivanov, quoted by BNT.
"Work is being done partially, as the tests of this technology for high embankments, which is being applied so that they can be sustainable, are still underway. We are waiting for the results of the "Roads and Bridges" Institute, because separate tests are being conducted for each section to be absolutely sure that this method will truly be the most effective, the safest for the construction of the highway," explained Ivan Ivanov.
The selection of a contractor for the section between Veliko Tarnovo and Byala is currently underway. The last expropriation procedures in the Byala - Ruse section should be completed within a month.
There is also an assignment for the design of "Bulgaria" Blvd., which leads to "Danube Bridge". Next year, it should be included in the state budget for reconstruction, since it still does not have act 15. This year, the RIA budget includes the repair of two main sections.
