Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba welcomes Rumen Radev

The visit of the Bulgarian head of state to the Asian country continues

The visit of President Rumen Radev to Japan continues, the Bulgarian National Radio reported. Today, the head of state will meet with Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba.

The president will be welcomed with a solemn ceremony and military honors at the residence of the Japanese prime minister, after which a meeting of the delegations of Bulgaria and Japan will be held. A declaration of strategic partnership between the two countries will be signed.

"It is a real pleasure to understand here in Japan how many Japanese are interested in Bulgaria, how much they know about Bulgaria, how much they love Bulgaria. And this is not by chance, because for years we have been developing a relationship of sincere friendship, mutual trust and respect. For me, this is the most important message.

I will have a meeting with Prime Minister Ishiba, where we will sign an agreement to elevate our relations to the level of strategic partnership. This is a logical consequence of all these long-standing relations, of our increasingly dynamic sectoral cooperation and of the enormous potential that our relations have," Radev said.

In Tokyo, the president will meet with representatives of Japanese companies and participate in an economic forum organized by the Japan External Trade Organization.
