Borisov: The Turkish side must show will on the contract with Botas, otherwise good neighborliness will be violated

By terminating it in court, every lawyer knows that they will condemn us for 6 billion leva. Yes, they will receive some money from Bulgaria, but they will lose good neighborliness. I think that President Erdogan in no way wants to spoil his relations with Bulgaria, explained the GERB leader

"Botas" have a perfect contract. They are not vulnerable under it. They have fulfilled their obligations. The contract was signed in such a way that we only have obligations, they only have rights. If within the framework of good neighborliness, the Turkish side does not show will, good neighborliness will be violated. That's what I told my colleagues there. This was stated by GERB leader Boyko Borisov on the sidelines of parliament in connection with his visit to Turkish President Recep Erdogan, reported by "Focus".

"This agreement is extremely disadvantageous to Bulgaria. We already owe over half a billion and let's think about how to get out of it together," Borisov explained.

He again pointed out that if our country wants to terminate the agreement, it will have to pay over 6 billion leva in penalties. In his words, this will ruin the good neighborly relations between Bulgaria and Turkey.

Boyko Borissov stressed that his visit to Turkey was not aimed at renegotiating the parameters of the agreement.
