Radomir Dzhalovic: Rijeka outplayed Ludogorets, we are going to Razgrad for victory

The match at Rujevica ended goalless, although the Croatians created several clear chances

Rijeka's coach Radomir Dzhalovic said that he was satisfied with his team's performance in the match against Ludogorets from the second qualifying round of the Champions League, sportal.bg reported.

The match at “Rujevica” ended goalless, although the Croatians created several clear chances.

“A tough match against a very serious opponent, who is in a game rhythm, because they have already had several official matches. We showed good football and had 3-4 chances to score through Fruk, Menalo and Rukavina, in which we had to act more precisely and achieve victory. In such matches, the most important thing is to use your chances”, said Dzhalovic.

“I am glad that the players themselves saw that they are good enough for this level. We were stable and I liked that. The second leg is open. I am sure that in the second leg we will create chances that we need to take. We are going to Razgrad to win”, emphasized the former striker.

“We acted compactly and did not allow Ludogorets to counterattack dangerously. I am sorry that we did not please the fans with a victory. We were better and deserved to win. Tony Fruk? I hope he stays with us and takes us to the main phase of the Champions League”, added Dzhalovic.

“It is a pity that we did not win. We could have scored at least one goal that would have made our task for the second leg easier. We played better, but we missed the chances we created," commented defender Stepan Radelić.

"We knew what to expect. To some extent, we were a mystery to ourselves, because this was our first official match. We played well, but we didn't score a goal. We need to recover quickly. The second half is coming. We will go to Razgrad with the attitude of coming out as the ultimate winners," said the Rijeka defender.
