Lightning injures three children on beach in Puerto Rico VIDEO

The oldest is in serious condition

Lightning struck a beach in the northern coastal city of Isabela during bad weather on Monday, injuring three children, one of whom seriously, said the police in Puerto Rico, quoted by the Associated Press.

The children, aged between 7 and 12, were taken to a hospital in the nearby town of Aguadilla, police said in a statement. The largest of them is in serious condition, the message says.

No further details were released.
