Botev (Plovdiv) has suffered another sanction from FIFA, Sportal.bg has learned. The “Canaries” today received a third penalty for registering new players. The sanction was entered into the registers as of today and is valid for three consecutive transfer windows.
Thus, Botev already has three similar sanctions with the same validity. The first was imposed on October 24, and the second on November 6. Similar sanctions are given when a club is convicted of obligations to a former player, employee or agent. Soon after the obligations are paid, the ban is lifted in a short period of time.
Botev is not the only elite Bulgarian team that has three active similar sanctions, since the situation in Beroe is the same. Spartak (Varna) and Botev (Vratsa) also have one ban each. Vereya and Krumovgrad also have three sanctions, but they are currently in the amateur leagues.
