Serbian football champion Red Star made the first major sale in this transfer window, after all conditions were agreed for their young talent Lazar Jovanovic to sign with German Stuttgart, Serbian media reported.
The Belgrade newspaper "Telegraf" announced that everything was finalized today, an agreement was reached between the clubs and the footballer has agreed terms with the "Swabians" from the province of Baden-Württemberg.
The Germans initially offered four million fixed, with a bonus of one million euros through clauses, but Zvezda did not accept the initial offer. Stuttgart then sent a new, “reinforced offer“, which read - five million euros, plus one million in bonuses, which ultimately led to the agreement.
Lazar Jovanovic is 18 years old, is considered one of the biggest talents in Serbian football and plays on the wing. He is the son of former Liverpool, Standard Liege, Anderlecht and Lokomotiv Moscow footballer Milan Jovanovic.
Lazar Jovanovic only played a year and a half at Red Star, as he arrives there in January 2024. Born in 2006, the talent began his football career in Vojvodina (Novi Sad), then moved to Belgrade.

England's runner-up Arsenal have announced the transfer of goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
The Spanish goalkeeper arrives at the Emirates Stadium from city rivals Chelsea in a deal worth £5 million.
The 30-year-old Kepa, for whom Chelsea paid a record £72 million for a goalkeeper from Athletic Bilbao in 2018, is expected to be a replacement for Arsenal's regular David Raya.
At "Stamford Bridge" Kepa did not justify the amount invested in him and in the last two seasons he was loaned out twice - first to Real Madrid and then to Bournemouth.
The goalkeeper's contract with Arsenal runs until the summer of 2028.
Kepa Arrizabalaga is the first new signing for Arsenal this summer. However, the club is expected to announce the transfers of midfielders Martin Subimendi from Real Sociedad and Christian Norgor from Brentford as soon as possible.
