Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro was admitted to the hospital after he felt sick, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA, citing one of his sons.

Flavio Bolsonaro reported in "Ex" that his father started to sob loudly, vomited, and his blood pressure was low.

The 70-year-old right-wing populist has had serious intestinal problems since he was stabbed in the stomach during an election rally in 2018. He underwent at least six operations, the last of which - this April, lasted 12 hours, Reuters notes.

Bolsonaro from last month under house arrest for allegedly pressuring the judiciary. On Thursday, he was sentenced to 27 years and 3 months in prison on charges of plotting a coup after he was defeated in the 2022 presidential election by leftist candidate Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

In the meantime, Bolsonaro's legal woes continue.

Yesterday, a Brazilian federal court ordered the former president to pay 1 million reais (about 160,000 euros) in moral damages for a racist comment he made while in office, Reuters reported.

The case dates back to May 2021, when a black Bolsonaro supporter asked to take a picture with him. At the time, the president joked that he saw a cockroach in the man's hair, which he described as a "breeding ground for" this order of insects.

Bolsonaro's legal team has not yet commented on the court decision, but during the pleadings they said that he was just joking and did not mean to offend the person in question.
