The Kremlin said it did not want to comment on a Bloomberg report that European diplomats had personally warned Moscow that NATO was ready to shoot down any Russian aircraft that violated European airspace, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.

Bloomberg reported, citing officials, that British, French and German representatives issued the warning during a meeting in Moscow.

Asked how Russia would respond if NATO shot down Russian aircraft, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said: "I don't even want to talk about it; this is an irresponsible statement".

"It is very irresponsible, because the accusations against Russia that its military aircraft violated someone else's airspace and invaded someone else's sky are groundless. No convincing evidence has been presented", he added.

"Russia states that all flights of our military aircraft are carried out in strict accordance with international rules", Peskov added.

The Kremlin spokesman added that the situation on the front and Ukraine's negotiating position are deteriorating every day. He said this in a comment on the advice of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who recommended that Russian officials make sure they know the location of bomb shelters.
