Poland scrambled fighter jets due to Russian activity in sensitive areas

Ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems are on high alert

The Polish military has scrambled fighter jets. According to a post by the operational command of the Polish Armed Forces on social media X, they took this step due to Russia's activity in Ukraine.

“Polish and allied aircraft are actively operating in our airspace, and ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems are on high alert“, the statement said.

It specifies that all measures taken are aimed solely at ensuring security in territories bordering “sensitive areas“. The operational command continues to monitor the situation and is ready for an “immediate response“.

The last time the Polish Air Force scrambled fighter jets for a similar reason was on September 28.
