Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjarto said today that not a single euro of European taxpayers should be sent to Ukraine, as "there is a great risk that the money will finance the military mafia and the corruption network", reports the Hungarian national agency MTI, BTA reports.

“The terrible military psychosis in Brussels is penetrating Europe“, Szijjarto said in a statement published by the Hungarian Foreign Ministry after his meeting with Bulgarian President Rumen Radev in Sofia. According to him, many Western leaders are clearly seeking “to push Europe into war and pour European funds into Ukraine“.

The minister added that European citizens' money is being spent without control and could helped finance the war mafia. “No one in Europe has seen a credible report on how the funds sent were spent“, Szijjártó stressed.

He also noted the problems with corruption in Ukraine around the country's president: “The dominoes of corruption have fallen around the Ukrainian president“. Szijjártó added that more and more European politicians are speaking “with common sense and an anti-war stance“.

“We agreed with the President of Bulgaria that peace efforts must be supported and a negotiated solution is important because this war will never end on the battlefield“, he said.

According to the Hungarian minister, a solution can only be achieved through diplomatic efforts at the negotiating table. Hungary remains ready to host a high-level peace summit and continues to support the efforts of former US President Donald Trump, he added Szijjarto.
