Eleven people were killed and two others were injured when a train testing seismic equipment swept away a group of workers in southern China's Kunming province, the Kunming Railway Administration said.
The accident occurred this morning on the tracks at Luoyangzhen Station. The train hit a group of construction workers while going around a curve.
Investigators are clarifying the details of the accident. The injured have been taken to hospital. Work at the station has resumed.
The railway administration said that those responsible will be held accountable according to law.
