20 killed in Israeli strikes in Syrian Damascus province

Syrian Foreign Ministry calls attack a war crime

The death toll from Israeli Defense Forces strikes on the town of Beit Jan in the Syrian Damascus province has risen to 20, Syrian television reported, citing a source in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the transitional government of the Arab republic.

Previously, 13 were reported killed and 25 wounded, including women and children.

On November 28, the Israeli army launched airstrikes and opened artillery fire on the Syrian town of Beit Jan. It is reported that an Israeli military patrol penetrated the area, which led to clashes between the patrol and local residents. According to Syrian television, three people were detained during the operation.

The Syrian Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the Israeli strikes, calling them a war crime.
