Aide to the Russian President Yuri Ushakov announced today that Volodymyr Zelensky may come to Moscow to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. This is reported by Censor.NET, citing Russian media, Focus writes.
According to Ushakov, Putin has repeatedly expressed his readiness to meet with Zelensky if he is "really ready".
The Russian president's aide also promised security guarantees to the Ukrainian president in the event of his visit to Moscow.
Ushakov added that the issue of a possible meeting between Putin and Zelensky was discussed several times during telephone conversations between the Russian president and Donald Trump.
"And during these conversations, Trump, in particular, suggested that we consider this possibility", Ushakov notes.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga yesterday announced the readiness of President Volodymyr Zelensky to meet personally with Russian President Putin in order to resolve the two most sensitive issues in the peace talks - ''territorial issue'' and the distribution of the Zaporozhye NPP.
