US Vice President J.D. Vance said today that President Donald Trump still prefers to reach a diplomatic solution with Iran and that he hopes the Iranian side will take that into account during tomorrow's talks in Geneva, Reuters and the Associated Press reported, quoted by BTA.

“The president has been crystal clear that Iran cannot have nuclear weapons. He will try to achieve it diplomatically“, Vance said in an interview with “Fox News“. At the same time, he added that if necessary, Trump would use American military force against Iran and that "most Americans understand that the craziest and worst regime in the world should not be allowed to have nuclear weapons."

"We are sitting down to have another round of diplomatic negotiations with the Iranians, trying to reach a reasonable agreement, but a reasonable agreement with the goal of Iran not having nuclear weapons. It's very simple," Vance noted.
