Peace talks between Ukraine and Russia have been postponed due to military strikes in Iran, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said, quoted by RBC Ukraine.

At the same time, the president stressed that he expects good news about the initiative to exchange prisoners of war.

Zelensky spoke with the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov about his communication with US representatives. Umerov assured him that the dialogue with the American side continues every day. Ukraine remains ready for a trilateral meeting to achieve peace, but the war in Iran is currently an obstacle to this.

After the cancellation of the talks in Abu Dhabi at the beginning of the month, no new date and venue have yet been scheduled, the publication notes.

140 illegal migrants were detained in Poland in a joint operation by the police and border authorities, Ukrinform reports. 91 of those arrested were Ukrainian citizens, the publication notes.

For 110 of those detained, a deportation procedure was immediately initiated from the country, with 20 of the illegal migrants declared a threat to national security. Nearly 26,500 police officers and over 700 border guards participated in the mass operation across the country. 1,944 wanted persons were arrested, including 147 foreign citizens.

This is the fourth such large-scale operation against illegal residents in Poland and the first this year, Ukrinform notes.
