US President Donald Trump has ordered a ceasefire in Iran and motivated his decision by negotiations that the country is conducting with unnamed factors in Tehran.
„I am pleased to report that the United States of America and the State of Iran have had very good and productive talks over the past two days regarding the complete and final resolution of our hostile relations in the Middle East," Trump announced on his social network Truth social.
"Based on the direction and tone of these in-depth, detailed and constructive talks, which will continue throughout the week, I have instructed the War Department to postpone all military strikes against Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure for "a period of five days, depending on the success of the ongoing meetings and discussions," Trump added.
