Iran fired a new salvo of rockets at Israel this morning, the Israeli army reported, several hours after US President Donald Trump mentioned talks with an unnamed Iranian representative to end the war - information that Tehran denied, reported Agence France-Presse, quoted by BTA.
The army indicated that the salvo of Iranian rockets was aimed at northern Israel and that it was trying to "intercept the threat".
The Magen David Adom emergency service reported that there were no reports of casualties at the moment, but that rescuers had been sent to the area where the strike was reported.
The army allowed the population to leave bomb shelters about 20 minutes after the strikes were announced.
A powerful explosion echoed in Jerusalem, AFP journalists reported, after the Israeli army intercepted Iranian missiles flying towards Israel.
