The leader of the Lebanese group "Hezbollah" Naim Qassem said today that any negotiations with Israel held during ongoing fighting constitute a form of "capitulation" amid the Lebanese authorities' call for such discussions, Agence France-Presse reported, quoted by BTA.
Naim Qassem insisted in a statement released by Hezbollah's television channel that Lebanese authorities must reverse their decision to "criminalize" of the fighting by the group that Beirut has decided to ban.
Earlier this month, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun said his country was ready to begin direct talks with Israel in an attempt to end the conflict that began on March 2, when “Hezbollah“ entered the regional war in support of its patron Iran.
