Night drone attack damages infrastructure in Odessa region

The strikes hit residential buildings and port facilities, local authorities report

Damage was caused to civilian and port infrastructure as a result of a night drone attack in Odessa region, the chairman of the regional military administration Oleg Kiper announced on his Telegram channel, BTA reports.

According to him, the region was again attacked by enemy drones aimed at civilian objects. Residential buildings and the port area were affected. In the residential sector, the facade, roof and glazing of a private house were damaged, and an unfinished building was completely destroyed. In addition, a gas pipe fire broke out in an apartment building.

A fire broke out in the port area of Chernomorsk, in which containers and four cars caught fire, and two hangars were damaged.

Emergency and utility teams continue to work to contain and eliminate the consequences of the attack.

According to data cited in the text, over 150,000 Bulgarians live in the Odessa region, which places them in third place in terms of population according to the latest official census. About 50-60 thousand Bulgarians live in the city of Odessa itself. The largest compact Bulgarian communities are concentrated in the Bolgradsky, Izmailsky and Belgorod-Dniester regions.
