At least five people were killed in an attack by US-Israeli forces on a residential area in the city of Qom, located in central Iran, the deputy head of the security service for Qom province said.
“Five civilians were killed within the first hour of the bombing and the number is likely to increase as the debris clearance continues,“ a provincial government official said.
According to Al Hadath TV, the attack may have targeted a “prominent Iranian figure“.
Several new powerful explosions have occurred in Tehran, the Fars news agency reported.
According to the agency, the explosions occurred in several eastern, western and southeastern neighborhood of the city.
No further details have been provided yet.
Four Iranian air defense officers were killed while repelling an attack by several US helicopters near the city of Isfahan, located in the central part of the Islamic Republic, Al-Hadath TV reported.
Details of the clash are still unknown.
