Iran expects to restore its most severely affected refineries and distribution facilities to 70-80% of their pre-attack capacity within one to two months, a senior oil industry official said, quoted by Reuters, BTA reports.

The statement comes amid efforts by Iranian authorities to restore energy infrastructure after a series of strikes that hit key oil processing facilities.

Deputy Oil Minister Mohammad Sadeq Azimifar said that repair work had already begun. Part of the Laban refinery is expected to resume operations within about 10 days, while the remaining capacity will be gradually brought back up.

"In most of the damaged facilities, within 1-2 months, we will be able to restore 70-80% of the previous capacity, and in the future, in the medium and long term, we will be able to restore 100% of the capacity," he said.
