Iran has no plans to send enriched uranium to the United States, this issue is “not up for discussion”, Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh was quoted by Iranian state television as saying.

Khatibzadeh added that Iran and the United States “have exchanged a number of messages”, but Washington “is making demands that seem excessive” to Tehran.

To reach a deal with Tehran, Washington must first win the trust of the Iranian people, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said, according to Tasnim.

The US must abandon unilateral actions and stop imposing its will on the dialogue, he added.

“Overall, we have made progress in the negotiations, but many gaps and some fundamental issues remain. The US must decide how to win the trust of the Iranian people. This is the most important step the US must take,“ he said.

The Iranian politician stressed that Tehran is following a policy of gradual steps. This means that if an agreement is reached, both sides must fulfill their obligations synchronously: Iran's move must be accompanied by the US move, and it is unacceptable for one side to fulfill its obligations while the other does not, he explained.

A day earlier, US President Donald Trump said that negotiations between the US and Iran are continuing and progressing very well.
