Commander with the combat name Ratibor and 3 thousand former PMC fighters “Wagner“ will join the special forces “Ahmat“, reported in his “Telegram“ channel, the head of the Russian Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, reported TASS, quoted by BTA.

„It has been decided that one of the commanders of „Wagner“ with the call sign Ratibor will join the legendary special forces “Ahmat“. Along with him, 3,000 former fighters from "Wagner" will join the special forces. The Ministry of Defense of Russia has already allocated the necessary number of vacancies in the unit”, Kadyrov wrote.

According to him in the near future the new recruits will be able to start performing operational combat tasks. “Ratibor himself was treated for a long time due to a wound received during artillery shelling, as soon as he got back on his feet, he decided to return to the combat zone as part of the [special forces] Akhmat, the Chechen leader said.

Kadyrov noted that the decision is a strategically important step to strengthen Russia's defense capability and increase the effectiveness of the “Akhmat“ unit.
