A representative appointed by Russia in Ukraine's Zaporozhye region announced last night that as a result shelling by the Ukrainian army in the city of Tokmak killed six people, including a child, and at least 20 were injured, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
"According to preliminary data, six people were killed in the shelling of a residential area of the city, including a child," Vladimir Rogov wrote in “Telegram”, TASS agency also informs.
According to the information quoted by TASS, 25 houses and nine multi-storey buildings were left without gas supply after the shelling. Extinguishing the fire and removing the debris is currently underway, the agency informed.
Zaporozhka region was partially occupied by Russian forces after Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 and officially annexed by Moscow, Reuters recalls.
